Slack Notifications

Send a message to a Slack channel when something important happens in a conversation, such as a new lead or an urgent issue.

Slack Notification posts a message to a Slack channel when a conversation matches your condition, so your team can follow up quickly.

This action needs the Slack integration. If you haven’t connected Slack yet, see Connecting Slack.

Set it up

Invite Chatvox to a channel

In Slack, open the channel you want to use and type /invite @Chatvox. Only channels Chatvox has joined can be selected.

Add the action

In your agent, go to Build > Actions, select Create action, and choose Slack Notification.

Choose the channel

Under Slack channel, select the channel. If it’s not listed, invite Chatvox to it and refresh the list.

Describe when to notify

Under When to notify, describe the situations that should send a message.

For example:

Notify the team when a visitor asks for human follow-up, reports an urgent issue, or when a new lead needs immediate attention.

Channels

Slack notifications can run on the Web widget and Public Chat. They don’t run on WhatsApp or in API conversations. See Where actions run.

Troubleshooting

If the action says Chatvox no longer has access to the channel, Chatvox was removed from it. Invite it again with /invite @Chatvox, refresh the channel list, and select the channel again. See Slack troubleshooting.
