Troubleshooting
Fix common problems with the Slack integration, such as missing channels, notifications that don't arrive, or a lost connection.
My channel isn’t in the list
Chatvox only lists channels it has joined. In Slack, open the channel and type /invite @Chatvox, then refresh the channel list in the action.
Chatvox no longer has access to the channel
This appears when Chatvox was removed from the channel, or the channel was archived or deleted. Invite Chatvox again with /invite @Chatvox, refresh the channel list, and select the channel again.
Notifications aren’t arriving
Check that:
- Slack shows Connected in your agent’s Integrations.
- The Slack Notification action is Enabled.
- The conversation happened on a channel where the action runs: Web widget or Public chat.
- The conversation matches the When to notify condition. Try a clearer test in the Playground, or make the condition more specific.
Slack shows Error or asks to reconnect
The saved connection stopped working, for example because the app was removed from your workspace or access was revoked. In your agent, go to Build > Integrations and select Reconnect.
I can’t install the app
Some Slack workspaces only let admins add apps. Ask your Slack admin to approve Chatvox, then try connecting again.
