A **sitemap** is a file that lists the pages on your website. Most website builders create one automatically, usually at `/sitemap.xml`.

## Add a sitemap

1. **Open the Website tab**

    In your agent, go to **Build** > **Knowledge**. In **Add knowledge**, select **Website**, then choose **Sitemap**.

2. **Enter the sitemap URL**

    Enter the address of your sitemap, such as `www.example.com/sitemap.xml`.

3. **Add the sitemap**

    Select **Add sitemap**. Chatvox reads the sitemap and queues its pages for training.

In the **Sources** list, the sitemap shows as one source. Expand it to see the pages it contains.

## Finding your sitemap

| Platform | Usual location |
| --- | --- |
| WordPress (with Yoast or Rank Math) | `/sitemap_index.xml` |
| WordPress (built-in) | `/wp-sitemap.xml` |
| Shopify | `/sitemap.xml` |
| Webflow, Squarespace, Wix | `/sitemap.xml` |

If you're not sure, check your site's `robots.txt` file, at `www.example.com/robots.txt`. It usually lists the sitemap address.

:::tip
A sitemap includes every page, including ones that will not help your agent, such as tag archives or legal pages. If you only want some pages, choose **Whole site** on [Websites and URLs](/docs/knowledge/websites-and-urls), then select the pages to add.
