title: "Managing Knowledge Sources"
description: "Review, search, retry, and delete the knowledge sources your agent learns from, and check their training status."
---

In your agent, go to **Build** > **Knowledge**. The **Sources** list shows every source with its **Name**, **Size**, **Last sync**, and **Status**.

## Source status

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Queued** | Waiting to be trained. |
| **Scanning** | Reading the page or file. |
| **Processing** | Preparing the content for search. |
| **Embedding** | Making the content searchable. Shows a percentage while it runs. |
| **Ready** | Trained. Your agent uses it in answers. |
| **Failed** | Couldn't be trained. See below. |

## Fix a failed source

A failed source shows **Needs attention**. Hover over the hint to see why it failed, for example a page that couldn't be reached or a scanned PDF.

After fixing the cause, select **Retry** on the source. To retry every failed source at once, select **Retry all**.

## Find sources

- **Search sources...**: find a source by name.
- **All types**: show only one type, such as files or Q&A.

## Bulk actions

Select several sources, then open **Bulk actions**:

- **Retrain selected**: train the selected sources again. See [Retraining Knowledge](/docs/knowledge/retraining).
- **Delete selected**: remove them.

## Delete a source

Select **Delete** on a source and confirm. Your agent stops using it right away, and the storage it used is freed.

## Knowledge base summary

The **Knowledge base** panel shows how much storage you're using out of your plan's allowance, and how many sources you have of each type: **Files**, **URLs**, **Text**, and **Q&A**.
